DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Chemistry was established in the year 2007. It possesses a laboratory with modern digital equipments pertaining to the curriculum and syllabi of Anna University Coimbatore. Special attention is given to individual students by providing the required numbers of apparatus to learn the chemistry with excellence.
VISION
To make the students to understand the basic concepts of chemistry along with the concern of environment and apply them effectively and efficiently in their technological works, for getting fully succeed while they are shining as engineers in future.
MISSION
To acquire the knowledge in engineering chemistry and its basic research through laboratory experiments in scientific manner.
SDP/FDP/WORKSHOP/ CONFERENCE ATTENDED
- Dr. K. Shanmuga Bharathi, Assistant Professor has attended AICTE sponsored National level seminar on “Effect of climate Change and its Impact on Various Sectors” organized by Easa College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.
- Ms. S. Gomathi has participated in the programme “Environmental Issues in Energy Technologies with a focus on Renewable Energies” at Mahendra Engineering College, Namakkal.
- Mr. K. Moorthi, Lecturer has participated Anna University Sponsored faculty development programme on “Environmental Science and Engineering”, organized Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.
- Mr. P. Mohan has participated in the programme “Environmental Issues in Energy Technologies with a focus on Renewable Energies” at Mahendra Engineering College, Namakkal.
