Mahendra Institute of Technology has established “Women Empowerment Cell” on 31/10/2017 in accordance with the sexual harassment of women at working place(prohibition, prevention and redress)Act 2013. The cell mandate including sensitizing the community towards gender related issues and this regards. The cell aim at creating awareness of rights and duties, also provides a forum for discussion and deliberation on a range of issue from empowerment to environment. The goal of WEC is to bring about the advancement, development and empowerment of women. WEC seeks to mould the young women force in the campus to achieve thriving milestones of success in the life.
Aiming at intellectual and social upliftment of the students the cell stands for facilitating women’s empowerment through seminars, guest lectures, awareness programmes and other welfare activities.
